What is the Open Water Diver Course?

The SDi's Open Water Diver Course is the beginning course that teaches you the basic but essential skills to enjoy diving safely. Under the guidance of a professional SDi Instructor, you'll develop the knowledge and skill necessary to enjoy a lifetime of underwater exploration.

Why SDi?

"The way people dive and the equipment they used has changed dramatically over the past 25 years. Unfortunately, the way most people learn to dive has not. For us, the fact "it's always been done this way" just isn't good enough. So we developed a way you can learn to dive that reflects real-world technology and real-world diving procedures. The result? A course that's more effective and more enjoyable" - BRIAN CARNEY President, Scuba Diving International

At Sabah Divers we are actively promoting the SDi Open Water and Advanced Adventure courses because we believe that SDi is a high quality and innovative training agency second to none. SDi takes advantage of the latest technological developments in dive equipment particularly in dive computers. SDi pioneers the use of dive computers even in the entry-level Open Water Diver course.
